Challenges and Obstacles Faced by Network Marketing Representatives

Posted by admin

Representatives in the network marketing business face challenges every day. Lots of people fear network marketing because of difficulties like these:

-    The fear of rejection:

The fear of rejection is a valid fear, but it is also the most defeating fear. This fear keeps people from achieving their dreams or reaching their true potential. It is so devastating that some don’t even get started in this business! Even if someone has the dream of achieving freedom from their job, they refuse to join the network marketing opportunity because their dreams are stifled by the word, “NO”. A lot of network marketing representatives also lack self-confidence. They are not clear about what their motivation is when they approach others about their network marketing opportunity. That is why they fail to succeed.

-    The fear of losing friends:

Network marketing businesses teach representatives how to work with their warm market. But it is the fear of losing friends that keeps network marketing representatives holding back. It’s a very common tendency to get a guilty complex. But we are supposed to share good things with our friends, such as a good movie or a great restaurant. We already do this naturally because there are no strings attached. However, when you throw in an incentive or return, the dynamics change. People who try to ‘sell’ to their friends do it in the wrong way. You must have a very clear understanding when you share with your friends about your network marketing business. Do you truly want to help your friends out with your successful business or your excellent product, or are you just using them for profit?

-    Scams in network marketing:

Sometimes, it is hard to point out a network marketing scam. Some of the products and services out there seem like wonderful ideas at the moment. But in a couple of years, things have changed. You have to be very careful when it comes to figuring out which are scams. Check out the background of those in the management team. Figure out whether entry level representative positions will help you create a return on your investment. Don’t be scammed into front-loading product. Make sure your uplines are in it for the long haul. Are they going to help you succeed, or are they going to use you for their own profit?

-    Inability to create new representatives:

Some representatives in network marketing are great at building their own network. But there’s one issue: they don’t’ create representatives that are just like themselves. Network marketing is a system for an entire network, not just one representative. Everyone works as a team towards a common goal.  But not all the people in your down line have the same strong motivation, charisma, and experience. You have to invest the time to teach your down line how to succeed in your network marketing business. If you don’t, you’re going to lose your representatives after months of investment, and have to start to build your team again.

Understanding Network Marketing: Why it Works and Why it Won’t

Posted by admin

To say that the network marketing industry has been a success would be an understatement indeed. Today, this business involves millions of people, with many programs and companies expanding in different countries around the world.

It has become such a top dollar earner that many of the authors, coaches and gurus we know today advocate it. But can people such as Robert Kiyosaki and Robert Allen be wrong? Here are reasons why network marketing works and why it won’t:

What is network marketing?

Network marketing is another term for multi-level marketing (MLM). It is a business model that involves the distribution of products and/or services from the main company through its network of distributors or retailers.

This network then promotes these products and services through direct selling to its end users, the consumers.

Distributors are considered independent of the parent company and thus are not salaried employees or personnel. In network marketing, they are allowed to build their own little business unit by recruiting other members who will serve as their ‘downlines’. These members, in turn, also recruit other members or downlines.

Why it works

When implemented correctly, network marketing can mean an excellent business and source of income for many. It also offers huge potential for unlimited income, provided set standards are in place and that all members of the downline perform.

The concept regarding income generation through network marketing is actually simple: all members (uplines and downlines alike) earn a commission out of the sale of the program’s products or services. They could also earn commissions through the earnings generated by their downlines.

In many business models, a commission may also be paid to the upline for recruiting a downline. This makes it a strong incentive for many distributors to increase the number of downlines they have.

Compensation plans used in network marketing vary, depending on the company. It could be one of the following: unilevel, binary, stair-step, breakaway and matrix.

The road towards successful network marketing

Network marketing is about building strong, reliable referrals and soft selling. What differentiates it from similar forms of business models is that it actually has a good product or service to sell over a long period.

Network marketers rely on the consumer appeal of this product in order for it to generate income. Some of the most successful products have been those that catered to specialized needs or offered an alternative to what is already readily available in the market.

Most of these products are also produced or manufactured by the network marketing parent company itself. Without a product that has a mass appeal or at least a ready niche, no network marketing business will survive.

The trouble with network marketing

Network marketing per se is an excellent business model. The problem is that there are many individuals who take a few aspects of the business, twist it and use it for their own dubious plans. By simply changing a few things in the practice of network marketing, it turns into pyramiding, a structure that is not only illegal, it is also doomed at the start.

The key here is for both newbies and experienced marketers to ensure that network marketing is not stained by wrong practices. It is a business that has been proven to work and has in fact helped millions of people around the world improve their lives and that of others. It really is up to insiders in the industry to preserve the business and make it work.

Who’s a good web host if I want to start an Internet Business?

Posted by admin

I’m thinking of starting my own business and would like to use the internet as a marketing tool. The two primary things I would need from a host would be a) a good search engine keyword system (in other words people could type in “mowing”, “dallas”, “texas” in Google and find my business) and b) options to pay the business online using a credit/debit card. Who’s a good web host for this?

Mortgage Marketing, 5 Tips to Live by

Posted by admin

For those of you working in the mortgage industry it is very important to keep your mortgage marketing activities in your daily activities. Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind. Some may seem obvious. But please read on, they come with a fresh new outlook and revisiting the basics once in a while never hurt anyone.

1. Business Cards

It is very important to market yourself via business cards. You should be making a conscious effort to hand out ten per day at the very least.

Have them on you at all times, and keep a supply in your car just in case.

When doing business with someone, don’t give them just one business card, give them two, and ask them to refer someone to you.

2. Mailers and Reminders

Keep a tickler file handy on all of your customers birthdays, kids birthdays, and anniversaries. Send them a card to wish them well on their special occasion. They won’t be expecting it, making them all the more appreciative, it also keeps you in their thoughts, reminding them that they know a mortgage specialist that they can refer should the topic ever arise. It also gives you a reason to send out more business cards and keep them circulating.

Remember, the average home owner refinances, or purchases on average every three years, so it is important to stay in front of your customer.

3. Phone Numbers

Giving your phone number to your customer seems obvious, but it is equally important to give them your cellular phone number as well as your work number, and let them know that they can feel free to call you at any time, this will personalize the relationship you have with your customer and give them a comfort zone where they feel as though they can really trust you.

4. Become Active

Become active in local organizations and charities, here are a few examples:

• Chamber of Commerce

• Rotary

• Lions Club

• Networking Groups

• Church

• Local Youth Athletic Associations

5. Apparel

Wear your company’s logo, It doesn’t hurt to have a few polos or dress shirts in your wardrobe with your company logo on it for attending special events or just going out to lunch, lets face it, it’s free advertising, and it shows that you take pride in the company that you work for.

To sum it all up, you basically want to keep your name and your face in front of prospective customers. When they need a mortgage product you want them to think of you and you only.
